Jaz Enterprise would like to share an update regarding the funds we collected with Young Quality Entertainment at the January 16th “All Black Affair” Fundraiser for earthquake victims in Haiti:

All donations were presented to Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) at their New York headquarters on January 22nd.  Contributions made by attendees at the fundraiser, hosted at Moka Night Club & Lounge, plus additional donations received during the week following the event brought the grand total raised to $9,000.  In the wake of the tragedy, Jaz Enterprise and Young Quality Entertainment canceled the scheduled “All Black Affair” with T-Vice and Harmonik to produce a Haiti relief fundraiser.  The event was free to the public with 100% of collected donations given to Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) for earthquake relief efforts.

We want to let everyone know that the Executive Director of Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) expressed gratitude to the entire Haitian community for its invaluable support.  The organization has a long history of providing urgent medical assistance in Haiti.  Their medical facilities were badly damaged during the earthquake, but hundreds of MSF staff on the ground are working to treat earthquake survivors and meet the huge needs that are only beginning to emerge from this human catastrophe.

We also want to take this opportunity to thank each and every individual donor for their generosity, as well as all participants from the Haitian Music Industry community for contributing their immediate support to this collaborative fundraising effort.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families during this devastating tragedy.  We remain committed to the healing and rebuilding of Haiti and will keep you posted on future relief efforts.
