wassup berto, thanks for the questions... Most people don't know that we go way back.. First time I met you was in 1992 when you guys played at my school's (St louis de gonzague) journeerecreative.I was maybe in 9th or 10th grade... Admire ur work and the commitment that u guys have showed throughout the years.

Roberto- Mike, at what age did you start singing professionally and how was your debut?

Mike: Well I started singing around when I was in 9th grade (3ieme secondaire), I was about 14.. I used to sing in the choir for my school, St Louis de Gonzague... I used to sing for fun before that, but that's when I took singing seriously... As far as profesionally, my first experience was with a group called Biggay... I was one of the lead singers and we performed twice... My musical carrer really got started with k-dans and having someone like Jude Jean part of the team, really helped me improve and grow as a singer... I was thrown into the spot light when Jude Jean had an illness in his throat and for a while, I had to fulfill the lead man... That's when I knew I could be a full time lead singer.

Roberto-Where you a bit frustrated at times in KDANS knowing you vocal abilities, you were never given the chance to be the lead vocalist on some of the songs? How come we only got to see the real Mickael Guirand in Carimi as an entertainer, singer, joker etc...

Mike: Not at all, when I was growing up I always saw myself as a back up singer. With my experience with choir, I loved to be part of an harmony... I'm not the supestar type. When I left for the states for College, I was suppose to sing a few track on the second album for K-dans, but I opted not to... I didn't want to handicap the band with me not being there anymore... My real first experience of fame came with the telemax christmas contest in 1994 with Richard Cave which we won... I think Carimi is my first real experience as a lead singer, and I'm happy it happened that way, I had a chance to grow into the performer that I am today... I had great musicians around me in K-dans and carlo and richard knew what to do to get me to sing to my full abilities in Carimi...

Roberto-When you first moved to NY, how difficult was it for you to adapt?
