Levans Patrick Jean-Pierre (Madman JP) may not quite be a household name to you-- but that's definitely not for lack of effort.  Mr. Jean-Pierre is the type of person who epitomizes the term "over-achieving multi-

tasker," not only is he a music producer, having crafted songs for Tabou Combo, Raymond Cajuste, Alan Cave, Zin, Arsenne Apollon, among others, but he also is a songwriter and a recording artist himself.  HaitianBeatz.Com had the opportunity to get together with him and asked him a few questions.

HB- Thanks a lot for your time! Could you please introduce yourself to our audience?

MJP- Hey Moses! What’s good? For those that don’t know my name is Levans Patrick Jean- Pierre aka Madman Jp, I am a singer - song writer – bassist – producer & recording engineer also the owner of  2Fat Productions and recording studio. You’ve heard of it…2Fatbaby!!!!  That’s me.

HB- can you tell us something about your Studio? When did you think of founding a new studio for the first time, how did things continue afterwards and how many people are working or have worked at your studio?

MJP- Wow! Actually this is my 3rd recording studio in 12 years… the 1st one I sold to Alex Villier of Muzik arts – the second one I sold to Guitarist Rousseau Telfort of Kaban Productions both friends of mine and both studios are still very functional…My current set up is really cool it is a combination of Analog / Digital which is pretty cool cause its not limited at all in that sense… the only thing that I don’t do in this set is
Live drums which I can but don’t like the hassle instead when I need to I can always go to Sabellas studios or Evigy recording studio which is owned by Richard Rouzeau a close and personal friend of mine whom has a lovely drum room very cool. When it comes to recording 2Fat is good we have everything that we need to get a superior product...As for the people that I have worked with the question would have been easier if it was How many people that I haven’t worked with …(lol) keep in mind that I have been in the HMI for 18years so I am neither stranger nor a rookie in this league.

HB- what would you say sets your studio apart from the rest?
