Gazzman released his debut CD with Disip, his first ever career CD, he had started working on a solo project, but never finished the work. However after leaving Nu Look, he find himself in a position
where he had to rush to put a CD our with his new band, before he loses momentum.
01-Mission | 6m50s
- If, like me, you don’t consider yourself a disciple, you might find these self-glorifying lyrics a complete turnoff. Any hope of enjoying this somewhat passable song will depend on your ability to tune them out – completely.
02-Bopè Pa Papa | 6m14s
- Gazzman’s English singing, whistling keyboard, and terrible female background vocals are a lot for me to endure. Imagine six frustrating minutes in front of a mirror trying to remove a small dead fly out of your eye.
03-Kolon’n | 6m44s
- There can be no doubt, this filler was written with one mission in mind – for Gazzman to shout-out every Haitian male nan mayami he’s ever come in contact with. At one point, I could have sworn I was listening to some lame awards show acceptance speech.
04-Koupab | 6m07s
- The hook “Sé fòt pa’m, sé fòt pa’w, sé fòt pa nou li yé” begs you to crank up the volume, whereas “Sa’k ilégal lòt bò nou fè’l légal isit”doesn’t sit so well. We could have used better produced horns, and done without yet another superfluous keyboard solo.
05-Pa Sans Toi (PST] | 6m20s
- Vocals in three different languages and spurious Zouk arrangements tend to make my mind wander and lose focus in a hurry. At times, there are too many instrument parts playing and none doing anything special – unless a busy mix was the ultimate goal.
06-Banm Gazz | 6m58s
- All that gaz is fine and dandy, but better keep the matches out of my reach because this nuisance of a song might give me bad, unsafe, and definitely illegal ideas. I challenge anyone who didn’t get a shout-out to squeeze any enjoyment value out this track.
