Even if you've listened to the album for many weeks or months, when you read (Setnot.com) Importun's review, it definitely sends you back to take a more careful listening. With his latest review of
the Nu Look's Confirmation's album, you are left with no choice but to take a more careful listening.

It’s just a hyped party song.
[editor's note: I think what KonpaFan meant to say is that it's nothing to write home about.]
“Nu-Look la s’on institution; gadé yon religion…sa s’on confirmation…” I have the uncanny ability to ignore frothy lyrics and still enjoy a good composition. But, alas, what’s a reviewer to do when the music is just as anaemic as the words? Some fans expect “Le Nouveau Look” will fare better when they hear it live; I predict those fans will already be drunk when it is payed. Since I neither attend Nu-Look shows nor consume alcohol, it won’t be so easy for me to have fun; I will not be joining the “wéwéwéwéwé” chant any time soon.

This is classic Arly; typically what I am used to, nothing extraordinary.

It’s Arly’s first opportunity to reacquaint his followers with the emasculated brand of Konpa for which they adore him. The usual suspects are all present: lots of unremarkable guitar twangs, lots of cliché digital synth presets, and enough cringe inducing lyrics that is sure to make even hardcore Celine Dion
