Harmonick may well be part of the new breed of Compas bands, but their delivery is as poignant as it comes. Presenting the face of confrontation with a serious look on his face, Mac D seems to be very relaxed, even when facing one of the top-performing bands in the industry, Tvice.
They performed a very dubious and balancing act. But, the determination in the eyes of those young musicians seemed fearless; and the petulance at the heart of their catalectic show veers from the obsolete. Strange to the dexterous New York fans, the band seems to have played it safe though, to not take it personal and not over-hyping the non-celebratory moments.
All this has clearly filtered down to the band’s performance; they performed not only with unswerving conviction and tireless energy… but also tried their best to lift the atmosphere inside Amazura nightclub to the best of their ability; than it was Tvice’s turn.
Before exiting the stage, Harmonick was presented the KompaMagazine "new band of the year" award that was presented by HNR's Stephanie Bernadel.
