While there are several adjectives to describe Krezi Mizik packed-out show last night at Sob's, the one, which keeps coming to mind, is Awesome!!! . It’s been a long time since Krezi Mizik stood on a stage in Gotham but last night New Yorkers came out in full to show their support and their thirst for the band. To the delight of the 350plus who were present, they did not disappoint either. Krezi, to me always and clearly has had something special. The sell-out crowd at Sob’s last night certainly notices so. Amid the recent no-shows at various events recently, Krezi still remain one of the favorite band in this industry.

Krezi start jamming a little after 12:40 am and did not stop until 4:00am. Suddenly it was very easy to understand why we were all there in such large numbers. The band went thru its discography and feature every aspects of what make the people goes Krezi for them. Mika Benjamin, the breakthrough artist for 2008, was awesome as a front man and vocally speaking. Drummer Black E-Zi kept the Krezi train rolling along with the band deye; his stamina is up there for a guy his size, he keeps the energy level up and was on point with a few slogans here and there. The strings line and the band deye as well. Proving the theme that " 3 soldat tombe...paka kraze on l'arme".

The big surprise of the night was how well the chords combo played throughout. Their new lead guitar player general Donald (remind me of La Porte ) was solid. He really establishes himself during Hotel California and probably had the public asking " who's that guy on the guitar?? ". Ralph Samedi (reminding you that both were former Nu Look guitarists) is the ideal rhythm partner filling up the tracks with harmony left and right with the tracks they played.

Krezi went all out last night playing most of their hits songs, and even went on to playing a few renditions: An tout franchiz sung by percussionist Serge, Hotel California (by the eagles), Moun damou (Shleu shleu) and of course Miyan Miyan ( coupe Cloue). That song just tore the house down. Other songs that they played were Pa tcheke krezi, Kanaval 09, Ti mafi, Plezi gaye, Back to back,  Negosye, Le m' we'w. " Tout moun te jwen yeswa " according to Twiter long time fan and supporter of Krezi.

Rachel Pratt presented Michael Benjamin with the Kompamagazine breakthrough artist of the year 2008.  He thanks God and the fans for the award. Krezi was amazing last night, the long wait really paid off for those who attended the party.
