"Konbit Pou Ayiti: Harlem Stage Unites for Haiti" is a free outdoor community event presented by Harlem Stage to celebrate Haitian culture through pan-Caribbean performances in music, dance, and
spoken word. The five-hour event comprises activities for the whole family, including the building of a "Tower of Power" commemorative sculpture. A tribute to Bengi Jolicoeur, a dancer lost in the Haitian earthquake, is featured along with relief organizations who distributing information about ongoing efforts for the country and its people.
4:00 pm - Gates open, family activities, arts & crafts, DJ set
5:00 pm - Concert begins

A free outdoor event in celebration of Haiti and its relief efforts. The scope of the performances will range from the traditional to the contemporary and popular and not cover only Haitian music but linked traditions from Africa and the Caribbean from Los Terrys. It will also feature special dance performances and a tribute to Benji Jolicoeur.
(Please feel free to bring blankets as this is an outdoor concert. NO CHAIRS allowed.)
