Record Number Of Haitian Bands to Participate at This Year West Indian American Day Parade

By Haitianbeatz

The West Indian Day Parade will be back in full force Monday Sept 2nd  2024 on Eastern Parkway. More than 100,000 participants and 2 million in-person spectators are expected.

For the Haitian Community, get ready for the biggest contingent of Haitian floats on record.

So far, according to our sources, those are the bands that are gearing to be on the Parkway:

  • Ekip

  • Tonymix

  • Tvice

  • Sweet Micky

  • Roody Roodboy

  • RAM

As in the past years, this year festivities are expected to flood Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn's Crown Heights as usual. The Haitian floats usually have the most followers, however this year, the carnival committee are only approving only bands that have an official Mask Camp. There is a Haitian Carnival committee that has been put in place to deal with this issue.

It is also true that those bands have applied, however, their permits have not been approved yet.

Stay tuned for more details.

I report, you decide
