Last night belonged to KLASS. Fans arrived late, then poured in by waves, and the slow build outside turned into a surge inside. Adidas Arena was packed, except for two closed sections, and it still thumped like a full stadium. Konpa fans came to party, they sang, danced, and stayed in motion from the first drum hit to the last bow. The band dedicated the night to the 70th anniversary of Konpa dirèk, and you could feel the pride in every groove. Background vocals stood out, the strongest many have heard from KLASS. The community showed up too. Four local hotels ran at capacity with KLASS fans, many more picked Airbnbs, and more stayed with family. A great night for the band, for the crowd, and for Konpa.

KLASS dedicated the concert to the 70th anniversary of Konpa dirèk, and that gave the night pride and meaning. The band looked sharp, the groove stayed tight, and the background vocals were the strongest many have heard from KLASS in years. The impact went far beyond music. Four local hotels hit capacity with KLASS fans, many booked Airbnbs, and hundreds stayed with family. It felt like a weekend takeover, and the city felt it.

A full house in waves: late arrivals, packed seats, nonstop energy

People came late, but they kept coming. Lines moved fast, friends linked up at the doors, and each new wave lifted the sound inside. You could hear chants building from the concourse. The arena felt alive before the lights even dropped.

Only two sections were closed, yet the rest looked and sounded full. The lower bowl stood early, the floor packed tight, and the buzz grew into a crowd hum. First bass hits from the opener rattled the seats. When the stage burst to life, the cheer bounced off the roof and back again.

Lines that turned into lift-off

Outside, it felt like a block party. Late arrivals moved quickly, tickets in hand and smiles wide. People found their crews, snapped quick photos, and headed in.

You could track the swell by sound. Every time a group entered, the volume jumped. The arena went from busy to booming in minutes. It felt like lift-off when the first lights hit.

Konpa fans came to party

Konpa crowds bring the vibe. People showed up dressed to shine. They danced in the aisles, clapped on the beat, and sang the hooks like a choir.

On stage with KLASS: setlist heat, standout vocals, and a 70-year tribute

Fabiola Shyne and Teddy Htag opened at 8:04 PM, with Fabiola starting first and Teddy Htag following. Solid performances, warm crowd, good pace. Then KLASS took over and set the tone for the night.

This felt like the heart of the show. The band moved with purpose, from up-tempo grooves to slow jams, and back to full bounce. The background vocals stood out, clean and strong. Transitions stayed smooth and the rhythm section locked in tight. Fan favorites landed hard, and you could feel the whole place move.

KLASS also paused to dedicate the night to the 70th anniversary of Konpa dirèk. That tribute turned a great show into a meaningful one. It honored the sound that built the culture, and it said that Konpa still pushes forward.

KLASS locked in, vocals on another level

The harmonies were crisp. The call and response hit big, and the backing voices lifted every hook. You could hear how well the parts were arranged. Choruses sat right in the pocket, and the groove kept steady underneath. It made each section feel bigger, cleaner, and more alive.

Fan favorites that shook the arena

The first drop sent the lower sections into a jump. The next chorus turned into a sea of voices, with phones up and hands high. A slow stretch brought couples close, then it swelled into a loud sing-along. When the beat snapped back in, the place went up. That pattern repeated, each time with more power.

A tribute to 70 years of Konpa dirèk

Konpa dirèk is roots, rhythm, and shared memory. The 70-year shoutout reminded everyone why nights like this matter. KLASS tied the tribute to the music itself, keeping the groove true with a medley that includes hits from band like Scorpio, DP Express and Tabou Combo.  while speaking to pride and continuity. It felt respectful, warm, and forward looking. A nod to the past, a push toward the future.

Klass performance

KLASS delivered a stellar set that played like a musical timeline, from the first album through the latest work. The repertoire felt like a guided tour. Pipo, the lead singer, was the most energetic I have ever seen him. Sharp, engaged, in command. Not the same Pipo we knew a few years ago, this was a new level.

Richie added flair with a stripped section. He took center stage a cappella style with only a violin and piano under him, singing parts of his older compositions. It was a tasteful reset in the middle of the heat. Cadelouse looked stunning in the background vocals, and she sounded even better. The band came prepared. Bravo KLASS.

I spoke with Pipo backstage after the show. He was satisfied with his performance, yet he pointed out that this was his biggest big stage fully as a front man. He said he sees where he will improve next time. From my view, he was great. Confident, present, and responsive to the room.

A fanbase like no other in the HMI: travel, hotels, and pure devotion

This show proved it. KLASS fans travel, show up early, stay late, and fill the room with sound. Four local hotels were booked to capacity with mostly KLASS supporters. Many chose Airbnbs and many others stayed with family, and we are talking about hundreds of people. All weekend, you saw shirts, flags, and jackets with KLASS logos. Lobbies buzzed with pre-show plans, carpools formed in the lot, and food spots stayed busy between soundcheck and doors.

Four hotels at capacity, then spillover into nearby rentals. Airbnbs across the area filled with groups. People kept arriving in steady waves, right up to showtime. It was clear and simple, the city had KLASS energy all over it.

Local ties made the night even stronger. Families hosted dinners before the show, friends set up meetups, and rides flowed toward the arena. It felt warm and familiar. The kind of scene where you hear music in the kitchen and plans in the hallway.

They traveled from every corner of the world to show love for their band. I came with Gina of Konpa Guide and we brought our own group from Florida and New York. They were very satisfied, and everything we promised was delivered.

Turnout speaks. Travel commitment speaks louder. Fans knew every word and stayed loud until the house lights came up. The band met that energy with a focused show. KLASS moves people to book flights and fill arenas. That is what leadership looks like in the HMI right now.

Why this concert matters now and how to plan for the next KLASS show

A near full Adidas Arena for Konpa dirèk in 2025 says a lot. It speaks to growth, pride, and a music culture that keeps pulling new people in. It also showed what works in a big room and what to improve next time. If you are planning your next KLASS night, a little prep goes a long way.

Konpa in 2025: pride, roots, and reach

Konpa’s momentum is real. The 70-year legacy lives in new rooms with bigger production and wider reach. Younger fans stand next to lifelong supporters. The sound keeps its groove while the crowds get larger. That balance feels strong.

How Adidas Arena raises the bar

Major arenas change the experience. The sound carries, the sightlines give you a clear view, and the staging scale adds drama. You feel part of something big, no matter where you sit. That matters for fans and for the culture.

A quick note on production. The lighting missed the mark at times. The sound did not sync well with the light cues, which made some moments feel off. It looked like a coordination gap between the band and the lighting engineer. The music still carried the night, but tighter light direction would lift the show even higher.

Arly Larivière was paying attention

Backstage talk circled one story. After Arly Larivière of Nu Look, KLASS’s rival band, sent a kind note wishing them well, he also kept close tabs on the night. He was on the phone with contacts in Paris asking for updates by the minutes, including the promoter, HMI personalities, and friends. There is a saying, keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer. Arly followed that playbook. Healthy rivalry can sharpen everyone, and the fans win when the bar rises.

Kudos to the promoter of the show

Kudos to ACP Production, with Berlin Obas at the helm. Berlin and I worked closely during this event and got a bit closer in the process. Very professional, very positive. Hats off to him and the whole staff, especially a young lady named “Lovely” who guided me when I was lost and handled issues with care.

Prominent guests were in the house, adding to the sense of occasion. Joe Dwet File, Alan Cave, and Fito Hyacinth made appearances. HMI media showed up in force, along with many personalities and promoters, including JnJn Hennessy, Clyfford Raphael, and Nathan Fragelus and many others. When the room fills with peers and supporters, it speaks to the moment.

The room had a who’s who feel, and that added weight to the night.

Waves of fans, a near full arena, and vocals that soared defined this show. KLASS honored the 70-year legacy of Konpa dirèk with pride, then proved why their fanbase is the strongest in the HMI. The travel, the chants, the sing-alongs, it all pointed in one direction. This night mattered because it showed Konpa’s strength right now and its path forward.
